Introduction

This document lists what’s new and changed in RSA Authentication Agent 7.0 for Web for Apache Web Server on Red Hat Linux. It includes additional installation information, as well as workarounds for known issues. RSA recommends that you read this document before installing RSA Authentication Agent 7.0 for Web for Apache Web Server. This document contains the following sections:

What's New in This Release

This section describes the major changes introduced in this release. For more information, see the RSA Authentication Agent 7.0 for Web for Apache Web Server on Red Hat Linux Installation and Configuration Guide.

Upgraded to support Apache Web Server versions 2.2.4 and 2.2.6. RSA Authentication Agent 7.0 for Web for Apache Web Server on Red Hat Linux now supports Apache Web Server versions 2.2.4 and 2.2.6. on Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions 5.0 and 5.1 (32-bit and 64-bit) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0 (32-bit).

Enhanced Security. The Web Agent templates provided RSA have additional configuration to help customers protect their resources based on their threat perceptions.

Known Issues

This section describes issues that remain unresolved in this release. Wherever a workaround or fix is available, it has been noted or referenced in detail. For many of the workarounds in this section, you must have administrative privileges. If you do not have the required privileges, contact your administrator.

Unprotected web page when accessed using IP Address prompts for user authentication
Tracking Number: 111077
Problem: When an unprotected web page that was protected before is accessed using the IP Address of the machine instead of the domain name, the Web Agent prompts the user for authentication.

Unable to compile new C language CGI for cookie API using the included rsacookieapi.h file
Tracking Number:115729
Problem: When you try to compile a new C language CGI to use RSA cookie API using the command, an error is displayed. This references an undeclared variable.
Workaround: Compile the cookie API by running the build.sh script available in the RSA cookie API sample. In case you face any problems, refer the ReadMe.txt file inside the C samples.
