Agentless Windows using local account

Can the agentless windows collection only be done using a domain account? We have some servers that have intentionally been left off the domain, and others that are on the domain but do not authenticate logons against the domain (use only local acounts). Is there a way to use the agentless collection with a local admin account, or will we have to use a third party solution like Snare?

You can define a Windows Domain for the stand alone device using the computer name as the Domain Name. Then you can specify local credentials for the new "domain". The downside to this approach is that you'll need to dfine a domain for each stand alone device.
