Best Practice for Backing up enVision
Hello,
We have just implemented the enVision ES appliance last month. We currently do not have any external storage setup. All data is being stored locally on the E:\, which is 220 GBs. Can someone help me with getting a backup plan together? Should I be backing up to an offline database?
Thanks,
Tom

One should be asking what are the business requirements...
What is the acceptable loss of logs?
What is the acceptable downtime for recovery?
off site mandatory?
Daily's, weekly?
Bare metal backup (Snapshot image of the entire ES system)
backup of files/folders inside NTFS
Are you using EFS? Do we need to backup encryption keys?
Just use a standard server backup software? What is the recovery process or restore process?
Lot's of items to think about when discussing backup for ES systems.
