Would it be possible to create a section for us to share config files for universal device support and config files for SFTP Agent that aren't currently documented like Microsoft DHCP logs.
We have a section for this under the UDS/Event Source support category. Now that I've approved your registration, you should see all the boards.
1) the ability for enVision to recognize the fact that a report is empty and not email it;
2) the ability to send multiple reports in a single email so the end users don't have to get 5 different emails.
Kudos to you. An since we're on that topic, how about the ability to provide custom file names for attached output files that get mailed. I don't know about ya'all, but my C-level leadership is just thrilled opening pdf's entitled
"Threat_Summary_ -_ January_09_0384587903958-23475-893475upweoiru-19408751nh2[4jrfqwewopifj-mq[04.pdf"
How professional is that?
exaggeration I know.. but its still horrific none the less.
That of course, is only secondary to the non-customizable SMTP subject lines. Reference my rant on that whole topic here.
1) the ability for enVision to recognize the fact that the "date/time" in the report about Iseries Audit is the "date/time" of the record audit and not the "date/time" of the FTP file sent from the Iseries;
That functionality is already there.
While it does indeed default to using the collection timestamp, you can go into the properties of the device on the Manage Monitored Device screen and check the "Use Timestamp" box. (The "Has Timestamp" box should already be checked).
Your iSeries reports will then return dates/times that the events were generated as opposed to when they were collected.
