Can you run lsdata without using system users Master, Nic_System, etc
Does anyone know if it is possible to run lsdata and retrieve data using user accounts configured on the system? Unfortunately Audit has requested us to eliminate the use of system users on all systems unless it is considered an emergency situation.
Please let me know what user configuration is needed.

Hi,
how the guidelines said: "you should be logged in as the master account".

Thanks for your response, however I need a workaround for that.
I need to permit users to run lsdata commands without giving them the master password. Additionally following this, I will need to log all commands that were executed using the lsdata utility.
Any ideas?

Hi,
if the "lsdata" doesn't work with regular user, have you tried to add the users on the NAS too (I think it's a multiappliance site)?

Got it! Simply copy master user in active directory on DSrv and create a new user having the same security policy as master. This worked for me.
