Collector stops collecting
I would like to know how long collector stops collecting sampling is completed. After some times collector restart collecting those devices, but delay changes. I need to know if events are lost.
Somebody knows?
Help says
" If this checkbox is not selected the Collector Service collects information on the candidate device based on the sampling criteria (set in the Sampling Period and Sampling Events fields). When the sampling is complete, the collector stops collecting device information."
Thanks for your help.
P.S.

By default the sampling period is set to 5 minutes or 25 events. If it does stop collecting, then yes, events are lost. If there is a need to continue collecting messages for a device regardless of it being an unknown device, then set this to “Always sample.” (This is configured in the Setup Collector Service Screen) Just remember this will NOT force the device to be discovered even if a later message is identifiable as the discovery process will not occur.
