Custom Device using ESI
I tried creating a custom device with ESI Tool. 1) Created Header & Message 2) Got All events to parse correctly. 3) Even created ESI Report and was good. But when i injected those events into envision, i just got that device discovered as "Unknown". Please advice

When you have finished with the ESI tool you must select "Create Event Source Package" from the "File" Menu. This will create a ZIP file which you must extract to the "etc/devices" directory.
Once this has been done, run the "UpdateESType.vbs" and restart the Services.
This time when enVision discovers the device, it should appear as the name you gave the Event Source Package. Or if it's already discovered by enVision just change it manually under "Manage Monitored Devices"

So under the directory "etc/devices" you have a folder with your "DeviceName". Within this folder should be four files:
- DeviceName.ini
- DeviceNameclient.txt
- DeviceNamemsg.xml
- DeviceNamevendor.txt
Can you confirm this?
- DeviceName.ini
- DeviceNameclient.txt
- DeviceNamemsg.xml
- DeviceNamevendor.txt
Can you confirm this?

Sorry, just to understand better. You want your device to show up under Manage Monitored Devices as "999"?
