encryption of logs can we answer this question?
I've heard two conflicting opinions concerning whether or not the the RSA log files are encrypted:
(A) Yes, they are encrypted
(B) No, they are not encrypted, but are "encoded".
If the logs are in fact encrypted, what is the key used to decrypt them and where is this key stored? For example, if our RSA enVision appliance were to burn and we had to buy a new appliance and restore the old logs from tape backup, how would the new RSA enVision be able to decrypt the old logs if they were encrypted by the previous appliance? I would think that an encryption key would need to be imported somewhere?

No log files are encypted, they are just encoded.
