enVision 3.7 End of Support
On January 11, 2011, RSA announced that as of June 30, 2011 enVision version 3.7 will no longer be supported. The End of Support date marks the last day that a product is actively supported. RSA enVision will no longer provide bug fixes, product enhancements, or “how to” assistance for enVision 3.7.
As a valued customer, we want to make sure you are current on this information and can reap the full benefits of your enVision investment. Upgrading to enVision version 4.0 will allow you to take advantage of new features and capabilities. These new features build upon enVision's proven highly scalable log management capabilities that form the foundation of an enterprise security and information event management (SIEM) solution. Read the Top 5 Reasons to Upgrade.
Current features and capabilities provided by RSA enVision's next level SIEM will help you:
- Understand the risks and vulnerabilities associated with assets critical to the business
- Streamline Incident Management with quicker problem resolution, increased productivity and the ability to communicate across your infrastructure: Identification to Remediation Workflow
- Provide dashboard visibility and drill down to heterogeneous event sources - over 230 event sources
Next level enVision is available for all 50 Series and 60 Series RSA enVision appliances that are under an active maintenance contract. The release can be downloaded from the RSA Secure Care Online website: https://knowledge.rsasecurity.com/
I noticed that the EOPS date for RSA enVision v.4.0 is 4/1/2012, that Extended Support is not available and an upgrade path is "TBD" ( according to the information here ). My company is in the process of formulating budgets for 2012 and I'm wondering when the upgrade path will be determined ( or whether RSA is contemplating discontinuing future product development )?
First of all, please be assured that we are investing heavily in future product development - enVision and SIEM are high priorities for us. You will be able to upgrade to 4.1 in August, 4.2 in December and 4.3 in 2012.
The migration path is TBD at the moment because we haven't officially defined it, but we will. If you'd like to discuss this live, please send me a private message; we'd be happy to chat further.
Hi - we moved the release date out slightly to September. I don't have a specific date yet, but there should be a fair amount of information on the community when we get closer to the release.
Thanks, and best regards,
