How to Delete old Events in Task Triage
We have 20 months of old events in task triage. We only want to keep a year's worth.
How do I delete these?
- I've tried deleting from Event Explorer, but this only works if the task is open, and if I'm the owner.
- I've tried deleting items by date in the E:\nic\tasktriage folders, but they're still displayed in the Event Explorer.
- I went to the KB and found article a36783 but it says to use a "purge.bat" command that's not where the article says it is.

FYI I did this myself yesterday. This is the process to remove ALL tasks.
On the AS:
From comman line run: E:\nic\4000\[SITE]-AS1\bin\purge.bat
In E:\nic\tasktriage delete the folders. You may find it faster to remove them via command line if they are very large.
I restarted the webserver after this but I am not sure if this is strictly necessary.
