How to disable monitor device
Hi,
I am trying to disable a monitoring device.
The device is a Microsoft SQL server.
Under Manage Monitored devices, i changed the device collection to "Active/Disabled" and unmarked the checkbox next to Analyze.
I can see the new status of the device is "Active/Disabled" but envision keep monitoring the device.
The only was i could remove the monitoring is by deleting the device from Envision.
Is there another option? How can i marked the device as "Disabled" only?
Thanks.
Guy

Hi Guy,
Active/Disabled leaves the data so that you can still access it. The configuration to actually pull the logs isn't under Manage Monitored Devices. Have you removed the configuration to pull the logs under System Configuration -> Services ->Device Services -> ODBC?
Thanks,
Guy

Hi Guy,
Thank you for the awesome answer, this is exactly what i needed.
I changed the interval to 1 day (this is the maximum) and changed the IP to point to empty address.
Thanks

Hi Guy,
You can delete it completely from the ODBC collection section. The old logs will still be available for querying and we won't go get any new logs.
Thanks,
Guy
