Licensed Device Count
Here's a debate that's been going on for a while now, and hopefully, this forum can clear it up.
The Licensed Device Count - which of the following contributes to the Licensed Device Limit, Analyzed Devices, or All Monitored Devices?
As simple as this sounds, there seems to be various opinions both in the community and from RSA Support.
Some say that the count towards the Licensed Device Limit is determined by the total number of Analyzed Devices, whereas others say the count towards the Licensed Device Limit is determined by the Total number of Monitored Devices.
What do you say?
Allow me to clarify:
A long time ago (read: years), it was based on the number of Analyzed Devices - meaning only the ones with a checkmark in the Analyze column counted against the license limit.
That did change a long time ago. For some time now, every device listed in the Manage Monitored Devices screen counts against the license, regardless of whether or not the Analyze box is checked.
Any NIC System devices never count against the license limit.
