LS Maint Commands
LS Maint Command to back up previous month's event data.
To be performed on the ASRV or ES Standalone System.

Includes all CRC, Summary and Index files.
Copies all event data from the previous calendar month to the UNC path. Keep in mind the UNC patch or drive mapping is unique to where you want the data backed up. In the command above Centera01/enVision is the UNC path.
To Verify all CRC Values
enVision keeps CRC records for all Event Data
LS Maint enables you to verify all CRC values to prove that the data has not been modified while resident on disk
LSMaint-VerifyCRC-loggingLevel 7-devicesetPCI-device*-time-0M end
Verifies CRC values for all events collected from the device group PCI for the current month.
I parse all data over 30 days on a weekly basis to another folder on the F drive (50 series cluster). I also do this using the above noted LSMaint command. However, on the flip side, is there a simple way to pull that data back in if needed. I've only had to do it once, but it was painful and tedious.
I just moved a months worth of event data from the regular location to a shared drive we've setup.
Whats the best way to re-import this data into enVision for analysis, if necessary ?
If you used the lsmaint tool to move the data out, then the folder structure you need for restore teh data will still be intact.
Just copy the data back into the same locations in the live IPDB.
To be safe, stop the NIC Locator service, then from a command line, change to the ..\bin directory and run:
pi_ls_locator -t -v
When that is done, restart the NIC Locator Service and you should be good to go.
