LS50 disposal or re-use?
So have any other IC users here upgraded from LS50s to LS60s? If so, what did you do with the LS50s? I'm inclined to re-image them in Windows 2003 or even 2008 but am concerned about drivers for the Promise drive arrays. Thoughts?

Hello Mike,
We upgraded to LS60 earlier this year, and are waiting till the end of the year until we re-purpose our old LS50 hardware into a test environment.
I thought RSA had a Windows 2003 image out there for the LS50s that could be used to reimage the box.

Hmmm... now that would be interesting. Thanks... I'll investigate further.

Or you could just use the LS50 for a QA, Dev, or Lab Envision Box. Do all of yoru UDS, alert/report development on it and then move it to your production system.

We have pushed a old LS50 for a sand box environment - all new patches and such go on there first and anything created with ESI is done there before going to the test all in one box.
A couple of old 50 series boxes was deleted and rather than throw them out I use one now as a temp storage box for disk images and scratch logs I want to look at.
