"lsmaint -rebuild" versus "lsmaint -fix"

Hi all,

The lsmaint has two options for fixing corrupt IPDB indexes: "-fix" & "-rebuild", however whether they are the same command or the differences between them & when one or the other are to be used is not documented.

Could anyone let me in on the secret?

-rebuild [all|hour|day] Rebuilds index and summary information.

-fix [all|hour|day] Repairs index and summary information.
