Report Permissions - A Sandbox for Report Creation
Hi All,
Our Ad-Hoc report tree includes the standard folders (Compliance, Correlated Reports, Host, ...) along with a Production and Staging folder where we have our customized reports. These are from the E:\nic\4000\SERVERNAME\etc\reports\custom\ directory.
I would like for certain users to have the ability to experiment with report creation in the Staging folder, but I do not want them to be able to affect canned reports, Production, or any other part of the report tree.
If the user is a member of the report-administrators group, they have permission to create reports anywhere. If they are only report-users, they cannot create reports anywhere.
How can I give them access to create reports only in a specific part of the tree?

Under Users, create a Group and assign it whatever permissions you want them to have. Under the Reports Permissions section, limit them to only see the folder(s) that you want them to see. Then, assign the specific users to the new group you created. That should solve your issue. I've attached a doc for your review.
