Device Status Update
I have received a lot of feedback for insight into our device prioritization and roadmap decisions. Why was one product added over another that was already requested? I have included in this month's report a table that defines each of the request status messages that will hopefully give more insight into the status. Our largest hurdle for device support is access to the product to test, validate and QA our solutions. Often if we can't purchase, download or partner with the device manufacturer for access we'll have delays in providing support.
We are also working on a partner program that leverages the EventSource Integrator (ESI) Tool that will allow partners to create their own device support (certified by RSA of course!). This will help increase the breadth and speed at which we can adopt new devices. Look for this program to roll out in Q1 of 2011.
