RSA Envision should help a technician to make a work, but
it doesn't help.
Envision gets updates, but It doesn't do a simple work, such a monitor devices that don't send their events.
I want a beautiful dashboard, which could show me devices which have a problem, but it doesn't do.
RSA Envision isn't cheap product, but i don't understand why it doesn't have so simple option?
For example, i tried to create a dashboard, and did it.
I suppose that i can group devices, i have more than 1000 servers in console, and 8 servers are MSSQL devices, and i create a group MSSQL servers and added MSSQL servers into it group.
I created a report with two columns "Hostname" and "Sum(Count1)", and i hoped that it can show me devices wich have "0" value, but unfortunately RSA Envision filtered this devices and doesn't show it in dashboard.
I hate this system more and more, i didn't use any other, but i want it to do...
If you have best practices how you monitor any problems in that system, please share your experience.
I tried to do such report to show the devices that not send a specific event, but no results.
Assume that i have a watchlist with a,b,c,d and i want to check which of them does not send an event ID=1000, the system could not list the devices with count(ID=1000)=0.
what is the solution?!!!!!! this topic is important in many reports examples.
Yep, that's terrible, when application must watch other devices cannot do so simple work.
I have a many devices and i cannot determine which devices are sending logs and which are not...
And i will learn that device was not monitoring when something will happen, and i can only say - this device was not sending events for this period of time...
I do agree with you that the system does not provide much of the functionality but just curious to know if you explored an option of 'Device Down Message" which is working perfectly fine with me.

It seems something that i was looking for, but i have a question, i enabled the event in pi.ini, but i don't see that message in Messages:
how can i add this event for correct parsing? Or it should appears later?
