SOLVED Migrating Data from Demo System to Productive System not working
We have here a customer who ordered now his ES-560 enVision appliance.
He was using before a Demo Appliance and I try now to copy his data from the demo appliance to the new appliance.
I was using the following method:
To be able to do a Backup of the application you will need the following:
* %_ENVISION%\database\dbbkup ( database )
* %_ENVISION%\webapps\pi\pireport ( scheduled reports )
* %_ENVISION%\etc ( devices, report definitions, vamdata )
* %_ENVISION%\conf ( configuration information )
* E:\nic\csd\config ( Common StorageDirectories(csd))
* E:\nic\csd\global ( In an LS configuration, this is on the shared storage. )
* Use Reimage DVD
* Type the box
* Name it exactly as the old appliance (sitename) !! Case sensitive
* Use the same IPs !!
* Install the Application
* After Reboot stop all services
* Restore nic.db and your custom config
* Start the services
* Restore data
Everything seems to be ok. The enVision Services are starting and I could login to the system.
I can see all the configs we did for the customer etc.
The Problem is now that when I try to go to analysis and try to see any events in the event viewer, I get the message "NIC Server is currently not available".
I checked the NIC Server process and this one is running.
I checked the TCP Port 2010 if I can connect and I don't get any answer back.
The question is now:
- Why is the NIC Server Service running and I don't get an active TCP Port 2010
- How to troubleshoot this problem?
I added below the log from %_ENVISION%\logs\NicServiceManager.txt.
You will see an Error here "Error starting [NIC Server], error=1056"
But when I check with the Task Manager I see that pi_ls_server.exe is running.
So what does this error mean?
