System Failure message
Hi,
I have this message every 10 second in the event viewer (analysis tab) :
%NIC-5-608050: Alerter, Alerter, -, -, -, -, Detail: 1648: ALERT System.Failures rnk 1 wt 1 apm 16 pc 99.16 pl 5 sl 5 (0:10:25:50:75) tr 1 psc 8.03 sc 16.00 = (nav 1.00 * br 16.00) = (m25:h25:d25:w25) ~ (16:16:16:16)
Somebody have an idea ?
The support think it's normal (???)
I don't know how to find where's the problem.

Yeah, that's a sneaky one... if you don't know the back story that one LOOKS like a problem but it really isn't.
That is a back end message for the alerter service that showing what is being used in baseline blending calculations. What makes this look so worrisome is that the word ALERT (related to the Alerter service) followed by System.Failures (Which is just a category being used inside the view) look pretty evil when you put them together like that.
If you read the message carefully, you'll see items like category weight, the baseline time percentages (25/25/25/25), and a dozen other things. If you go into a View in the enVision UI and advance to the screen immediately after the Customize Alert Configuration Screen (its name escapes me and I am without access to an enVision UI at the moment) , you'll start to recognize some of the numbers on that page.
It's just some of the black magic baseline mathematics that are being done. There is nothing to fear from this message (unless you're afraid of math )
