Trend Micro Office Scan 10
Hello,
In the installation procedure for TM Office Scan 10 it says that Control Manager is required. I have a customer that doesnt have CM and has Office Scan.
Is an integration of OfficeScan somehow supported without the Control Manager?
Also following the procedure, I deleted the Trend definition from the SNMP Trap definitions. I would like to recreate it, but I dont know all the parameters. Would anyone be kind and post it?
Thanks for any input

Office Scan is supported without TMCM.
The note is only that TMCM 5.0 Advanced is supported not TMCM 5.0 Standard. This is separate from the support for Office Scan. The reason they are together is that they use the same device XML.
Just follow the directions under Configure Trend Micro OfficeScan.
I have attached a Word Document with a Screen Shot for the SNMP Config

Thanks for the reply stoeckp. I will test the integration tomorrow and see if it works.
This is the part of the procedure that confused me:
Important: Trend Micro OfficeScan 10.0 requires the use of Trend Micro Control Manager 5.0.
I will let you know how it ends up.

Hi Phd_paul
i am trying to integrate that trend micro(officescan 10.6 + control manager 5.0) with RSA SA and i did all the needful for snmp configuration by using attached guide but still i am not getting snmp traps or events on SA, while i am getting snmp trap from one router it mean from SA side its done, what should i do to check that trend micro is generating snmp traps?

you always can use tcpdump or wireshark to monitor the network traffic see any snmp traps sent out or not.
run it from trendmicro side and sa side then you will know where is the problem.
