Can the Appliance updater be used to update an RSA-supplied DB that is installed on a remote server?
Can the Appliance updater be used to update an RSA-supplied DB that is installed on a remote server? I need to patch per the "DSA-2020-139 Identity Governance and Lifecycle Security Update for Oracle Database Vulnerabilities" email I just received.

Yes that should work as long as it is the RSA supplied Database installed using the RSA database-only installer.

In your case, it should be run on the database server.

Also always make sure you have a database backup before any patching/updating procedures just in case 😉
