Configuration Migration from Version 7.0.2 to 7.1.1

I need to migrate my configurations by taking the export (Admin -> Import/Export) from version 7.0.2 and importing it in version 7.1.1. So is this possible?

No you cannot migrate configuration across different versions. Even if it does not give you a clear error in the UI, it still does not migrate the configurations to the new structure (if any) of the new version.

If you want to migrate configuration only, we recommend:

1. Setup a side server on the old version (7.0.2 in your case).
2. Move the configurations required to that server (7.0.2 to 7.0.2).
3. Upgrade that server to your new version (7.1.1 in this case) which would ensure proper migration is run.
4. Either use this server directly for your tests or you can again move the configuration to your new server (7.1.1 to 7.1.1).
