Open request start generating thousands of activities

I have open requests which after 39 days start to generate thousands of activities or work items. 

Does anybody have a clue what triggers this?

I believe these types of issues would be best investigated by RSA Customer Support.

However it does sound similar to a recently fixed defect (Ref: ACM-101694 under Fixed Issues in 7.1.1 Patch 4 )

I agree this sounds suspiciously like an issue resolved in 7.1.1 P04.   

Open an RSA Customer Support case and have the engineer refer to internal only KB article 000038393 for cleanup guidance.

Customers who are predisposed to this issue are strongly encouraged to patch to 7.1.1 P04 or later.
