RSA VIA 7.0.1 Installation Problem
Hello,
After we followed the instuctions in RSA Identity Governance and Lifecycle Upgrade and Migraiton Guide.pdf finally we got en error like that:
Let me show the steps which I followed:
1. We got back up of the Appliance
2. We got back up of the RSA DB
3. We downloaded the installation files.
4. We copied the Downloaded Installation Files to the Installation Host.
5. We run the installation script.
After the step 5, the error occured below. Could you please help us at this point?

Probably syslinux package is not installed or /etc/resolv.conf or /etc/hosts is incorrect.
Solve the package or files.
Alternative solution to avoid the error (when you are sure DNS is correct configured), you can modify the install scripts.
> Open an Editor on the prompt and open file ../deploy/InspectSystem.sh
> Search for string 'runtest checkDNSResolution' and outcomment the line.
> Save the file and restart install.sh.
Good luck..

I got the same error with 7.0.1. Frank's suggestion is right. Mine was resolved by checking the FWD and REVERSE PTR record entries in the DNS.
Most likely its not there or missing the FQDN. Once this is added, you can check the same using nslookup.
Good Luck!

We have a similar situation, where we have a Forword record, but don't have a Reverse PTR Record entries in DNS.
Is it advisable to skip the DNSResolution Pre-requisites check? Will Oracle DB and RSA IGL work well without a Reverse PTR Record?
Regards,
Muzammil.
