usage of External repo- 11 version

Hi Team

If we couldn't use the USB either by buildstick/Idrac for upgrading, could we use External repo for the same for upgradtion.

I think you are confusing the repo and the buildstick/ISO

To upgrade, you must do the following step:

1. Using the latest version of the backup software (v4.x) from RSA-Link, run an upgrade (-u option) backup of all the hosts.
2. Using either a direct/remote console connection with a USB bootstick, or the iDRAC console with either the 11.1 ISO mapped to a Virtual Disk, or the 11.1 ISO mapped from an NFS share, boot to the 11.1 ISO and perform an "upgrade" (DO NOT CLEAR THE DISK CONFIGURATION as you will lose the backup files, they are on the /var/netwitness filesystem and will be preserved through the upgrade of the OS to CentOS 7)
3. After the upgrade is finished, reboot the device and login as root.  Run the nwsetup-tui program and again "upgrade" the device (this actually installs the files for the "type" of NetWitness device finds in the backup files, and restores the NetWitness specific configurations.)  When asked about the repo (local to NetWitness server (Node0) or External, it is referring to where to find the rest of the RPM files it needs to complete the install/upgrade.  The default REPO is on the NW (Node0) server after it is built (it's the first one you should upgrade), but you have the option to "host" additional repos on other systems (this has to be set up manually), which would just be any web server that hosts the same repo files found under /var/netwitness/common/repo on the NW server.
