BasicOps - SAML SSO Agent Configuration - RSA Ready SecurID Access Implementation Guide

This section describes how to integrate RSA SecurID Access with BasicOps using a SAML SSO Agent.

Configure RSA Cloud Authentication Service

Perform these steps to configure RSA Cloud Authentication Service as an SSO Agent SAML IdP to BasicOps.

Procedure

    1. Sign into the RSA Cloud Administration Console and browse to Applications > Application Catalog

    2. Click on Create From Template found in he upper right of the page then select SAML Direct

    3. On Basic Information page enter a Name for the application, ie. BasicOps Then click on Next Step.

    4. On Connection Profile page

        1. In Connection URL field, verify the default setting

        2. Choose IDP-Initiated or SP-Initiated

        1. Scroll down to SAML Identity Provider (Issuer) section. 
        2. Note the Identity Provider URL and Issuer Entity ID. These values are automatically generated. They may be needed later for the configuration of BasicOps

        3. Click on Generate Cert Bundle, set a a common name for your company certificate. Then click Generate and Download

        4. Select Choose File and upload the private key from the generated certificate bundle

        5. Select Choose File and upload the cert from the generated certificate bundle

        6. Select Include Certificate on Outgoing Assertion

        1. Scroll down to Service Provider section
        2. Enter the Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) for your instance of BasicOps obtained from the Service Provider Metatdata in the BasicOps SAML configuration below..For example https://app.basicops.com/108379216619219571 This

        3. Enter the Audience (Service Provider Issuer ID) for your instance of BasicOps. obtained from the Service Provider Metatdata in the BasicOps SAML configuration below..For example https://app.basicops.com/108379216619219571/app/saml/consume

        1. Scroll down to User Identity section
        2. Ensure Identifier Type = Email Address, set your Identity Source and Property = mail

      1. Click Next Step
    5. On User Access page select the Access Policy you require. Allow All Authenticated Users is the least restrictive. Click Next Step

    1. On Portal Display Page

      1. Select Display in Portal

      2. Upload an Application Icon if you wish

      3. Set an Application Tooltip if you wish.

      4. Click on Save and Finish

    2. Click on Publish Changes. Your application is now enabled for SSO. If you make any additional changes to the application configuration you will need to republish.

  1. Browse to Application > My Applications

  2. Locate newly create application for BasicOps

  3. Click on Down Arrow next to Edit button

  4. Select Export Metadata data. This will be used below for BasicOps configuration.

Configure BasicOps

Perform these steps to integrate BasicOps BasicOps with RSA SecurID Access as a SAML SSO Agent.

Procedure

  1. Sign into BasicOps and on left hand side browse to Settings > Integrations

  2. Select SAML click on Add for new SAML configuration or Configure if changing existing

  3. Copy the content of the metadata file downloaded above and past it into the IdP Metadata XML field. Note All other required fields will get filled automatically.

  4. Click on Submit.

  5. Click on the Metatdata button to get the Service Provider Meta data. This is used to configure RSA Cloud Authentication Service above.

Configuration is complete.
