Kanban Tool - SAML Relying Party Configuration - SecurID Access Implementation Guide

This section describes how to integrate SecurID Access with Kanban Tool using Relying Party. Relying party uses SAML 2.0 to integrate SecurID Access as a SAML Identity Provider (IdP) to Kanban Tool SAML Service Provider (SP).

Configure SecurID Access Cloud Authentication Service

Perform these steps to configure Cloud Authentication Service as a relying party SAML IdP to Kanban Tool .

Procedure

  1. Sign into the Cloud Administration Console and browse to Authentication Clients > Relying Parties and click Add a Relying Party.

  2. On Basic Information page enter a Name for the application, ie. Kanban Tool Then click on Next Step.

  3. On Authentication page.

    1. select the RSA SecurID Access manages all authentication.

    2. Select the desired Primary Authentication Method from the dropdown list.

    3. Select the desired policy from the Access Policy for Additional Authentication.

    4. Click Next Step.

  4. On Connection Profile page.

    1. Enter the Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) . This is the SP Metadata URL based on the <SITENAME> and <STRING> of your instance of Kanban Tool. The SP Metadata URL is shown in the Kanban Tool configuration below. For example https://myThirdight.chorus.thirdlight.com/samlconsume.tlx/1620191282/module.php/saml/sp/saml2-acs.php/samlauth.

    2. Enter the Service Provider Entity ID. This is the SP Entity ID based on the <SITENAME> of your instance of Kanban Tool. The SP Metadata URL is shown in the Kanban Tool configuration below. For example https://myThirdLight>.chorus.thirdlight.com/saml/sp.

    3. Click on Download Certificate. This will be used below in the Kanban Tool configuration.

    4. Click on Choose File and upload the certificate just downloaded.  This same certificate will be used in the Kanban Tool configuration below.

    5. Open Advanced Configuration section.

    6. For Identifier Type Email Address choose mail for the Property.

    7. Note the Identity Provider Entity ID field . For Example :https://rsa-blr-per.auth-demo.securid.com/saml-fe/sso.

    8. Click on Save and Finish.

  5. Browse to Authentication Clients > Relying Parties

  6. Scroll down to the your newly created Relying party and click down arrow to Edit and choose View or Download IdP MetatData and save off the metadata information.

  7. Click on Publish Changes. Your application is now enabled for SSO. If you make any additional changes to the application configuration you will need to republish.

Configure Kanban Tool

Perform these steps to integrate Kanban Tool with SecurID Access as a Relying Party SAML SP.

Procedure

  1. Sign into Kanban Tool under Admin and go to Setting > Site.

  2. Go to SAML2 and select Enable SAML2.

  3. In the SP Details section, Note the SP Entity ID and SP Metadata URL values to be used in the Cloud Authentication Service configuration above.

  4. Select Load IdP Metadata from XML.

  5. For IdP Metadata copy the entire contents of the Metadata file download above in the SecurID CAS configuration.

  6. Click Save.
