This document describes the permissions needed to use the RSA SecurID Authenticate and RSA SecurID Software Token apps.

RSA SecurID Authenticate for iOS Permissions
| Notifications |
Delivery of push notifications to phone. User is prompted to allow or deny this permission at the first use of app. |

If permission denied, user must pull to refresh in the app to use the Approve and Biometrics authentication options.

| Camera |
Allows QR code scan during registration using the RSA SecurID Authenticate app. User is prompted to allow or deny this permission at the first use of the scan QR code screen. |

If permission denied, user must complete manual registration using a registration code.

| Face ID or Touch ID |
Allows the app to use Biometrics for authentication and to view the RSA SecurID Authenticate Tokencode, if necessary. User is prompted to allow or deny this permission at the first use of Biometrics. |

If permission denied, user cannot use Biometrics for authentication.

Collect usage data
Note: This is an RSA SecurID Authenticate permission request, not an iOS permission.
|
Allows the app to collect data analytics. This includes only usage data and excludes personal data related to the user or device. User is prompted to allow or deny this permission at the first use of app. |

If permission denied, the app does not collect data analytics.

Siri & Search
Note: Default iOS permission that is not needed to use the Authenticate app.

Allows the app to display when user searches manually or with Siri.

RSA SecurID Authenticate for Android Permissions
A user can allow or deny the optional permissions in Android Settings > Apps > Authenticate.

Phone

Obtains an ID to uniquely identify the device.
|

If user completes new install of RSA SecurID Authenticate 3.2 or higher.
Required one time when upgrading app from older versions.

Storage
|
Allows access to the device SD card for creating logs used for troubleshooting.
|

If permission denied, app does not create logs used for troubleshooting.

Camera
|
Allows QR code scan during registration using the RSA SecurID Authenticate app.

RSA SecurID Software Token for iOS Permissions
| Camera |
Allows QR code scan during token import. User is prompted to allow or deny this permission at the first use of the scan QR code screen. |

If permission denied, user must complete token import using custom URL links, copy and paste of links, or SDTID file attachments.

Mask PIN
Note: This is an RSA SecurID Token permission request, not an iOS permission.

Replaces each PIN digit with a dot after user enters it. User is not prompted for this permission but can deny it in iOS Settings > Token. |

If permission denied, app displays PIN digits.

Siri & Search

RSA SecurID Software Token for Android Permissions
A user can allow or deny the optional permissions in Android Settings > Apps > Authenticate.
