how to tell what my hardware I have on my RSA appliances

I run RSA Authenication manager 8.1 sp1 patch 3 Primary and 2 replicas on 3 hardware appliances

I'm trying to find out what hardware they run on, mainly as way of making sure the appliances support upcoming upgrades.

I'm pretty sure they will but would like to have this information. How do I obtain it. ? Is there some OS command that I can run that will tell me

Either connect on console, or SSH to Linux, logon with OS account (usually rsaadmin) and password.

     sudo su -               to root, same password

then run some variation on dmidecode

 dmidecode | grep "serial number"        -    used for RMA process

 dmidecode | grep vendor                     -     used as way to tell Intel from Dell from VM (Phoenix) 

  dmidecode | grep manufacturer        - not used so much <returns too much>

I got one of linux admins to do just that this am and its kinda of cryptic and doesn't really tell me a lot

I was kinda of looking for something like Dell 250 etc

when we ran the commands what we got off the primary was

that is an Intel 'A130'

Ed, How could you tell it was the smaller 130 Intel from the larger 250?

Take a look at the table in RSA announces the availability of the RSA SecurID® Hardware appliances based on Dell PowerEdge Serve...and note the CPU data.  Lane Frazier‌ referenced his CPU as E31225, where the A250's CPU is ES2609.

Thanks for the info....Well it looks like I run the "older" intel boxes. We installed in Aug 2015....if I interpreted the above document correctly, these appliances will be supported to 2020..(that would be 5 yrs for us)...then I have a problem and have to get off of them...that's gonna be a pain

You are reading the document correctly.  There is good news: 

• You have 18 months or so to plan your upgrade.  That is plenty of time to stand up and test a new environment.
• You can move from hardware servers to VMware or Hyper-V environments.  If your maintenance is current, you can download the image files for free.  
• Your production license allows you to set up a dev environment at no additional cost.
• There is also no cost to get an updated license file, unless you are adding additional  active users.

Product Name: S2600GZ is a 250

S1200BTL is a 130
