Hi, what is the status for upgrading from AM 8.3 patch 4 to version 8.4? Few weeks ago there was a advisory that RSA temporarily suspending downloads of 8.3 P5 until technical issues are resolved. Can the upgrade be done directly from P4 to 8.4 or first is needed from P4 to P5 and afterwards to version 8.4?
In the official setup and config guide for 8.4 there is no info about this, I think that the documentation is not updated correctly because they are mentioning in the document only upgrading from previous version to 8.3, and not 8.4.

Yes exactly as Michiel have said, this is for people who are already on 8.3 P5, and need to go to 8.4 using the browser option, so Patch 6 would solve this problem.
Whatever you do DON'T try to upload this from a Windows or NFS as it will timeout and cause you to have to start all over again. I got it upload once and when I went to put in my password the Operation console timed out and put me back to the log in screen...had to start all over again...Now after the second attempt, and 3 hours from when I began, it did it again, so now I will have to reschedule upgrade, burn a dvd and the drive to the datacenter to complete the upgrade. So much for remote upgrade of RSA.
Question - why if the new code was uploaded the first time --WHY wasn't I given a chance to install it instead of having to start all over?
Not since the awful 7.1 have I been this disappointed in RSA.
