The setup and configuration guide on this page
RSA Authentication Manager 8.2
Explains upgrade from 8.1 sp1, on page 81.
-----
Quick notes:
-it is an .iso file installed like any other patch in the operations console
-backups made on 8.1.x cannot be restored to 8.2.x, and vice versa. Make
a backup before upgrade, and a new one immediately after [and mark them to know
what patch version they came from]
-must patch primary system first, then replicas, one at a time
-after primary is patched, replication to any 8.1.x replicas will remain broken until the replica(s) is/are
patched
