Importing new physical tokens
Our SecureID physical tokens are going to expire at the end of this month. We have a set of new physical tokens that are valid until 30th April 2020. We don't have the XML file for them. How do I get the XML file and/or how to I import these tokens into our RSA server?
If you purchase new tokens RSA will deliver token seed media. First you have to decrypt the seed file then you can get .xml.
please refer below article from RSA:
After decryption of seed media you can import token records in to AM server from Security Console:
1)Go to Authetication -> SecurID Tokens -> ImportTokens Job -> Add New
there browse the xml file and upload it in to AM by clicking Submit Job, It will ask password that you get it from when you decrypt the token seed.
Unfortunately I can't locate the seed file. I have the keys/tokens but no seed file media. The person who this was probably sent to left the organisation quite a while ago. Are we able to get another seed file?
is there any CD (token seed) is with Keyfobs(tokens)? if not you have to log case with RSA support and request them, if you have valid licenses they may provide you another set of seed.
If you no longer have the token seed xml file or the CD on which it was shipped to you, please contact your RSA sales rep or your reseller to purchase new tokens.
RSA's policy is to keep token seed files for 150 days. After that we dispose of the data. At that point, if a customer requires replacement of a lost .xml file, we cannot provide it and new tokens need to be purchased.
Be sure to store all seed media you receive from RSA and/or your reseller in a secure location, in case it needs to be reinstalled on the Authentication Manager server at a later date or in case of a reinstall of the software when you do not have a recent backup.
