Token passcodes no longer work - Resynchronization fails
I have another problem with our RSA AM 8.5.
Until the day before yesterday my SID700 token was working fine. Since yesterday, however, not a single passcode works.
I have tried to resynchronize the token. Unfortunately this fails. Neither in the SSC nor in the SC I can resynchronize the token.
In the SC I get the following error "There was a problem processing your request - Tokencode is incorrect".
But the token code is correct.
Also a reinstallation did not help so far.
The time is set correctly. And the synchronization between primary and replica works as well.
Does anyone of you have an idea?
Thanks a lot for your support!
//UPDATE The Activity Monitor ist showing the following error, when i try to Resync via the SC. When i try to Test authenticate via SSC i get a authentication method failed log
I've tested three tokens so far. No token can be synchronized or used anymore. Also, when I try to synchronize via the SC Panel, the entered Tokencodes are shown as wrong. Although they are correct.
If I wanted to reproduce this in the lab, I would change the time on the server. Have you verified that all the instances are using a known good NTP time source? Has the time on the instances been changed recently?
The system is located in a Lab.
But now it works again. The problem appeared and disappeared on its own.
I will have a look at all logs in the next days. If I find something, I will post it here, in case there is someone else who has this problem.
Thanks for your help.
This really sounds like the system time was being changed on the server. I'd check the system log /var/log/messages to see if that is happening. Can you check in the Operations Console to see what NTP server you are using?
