I have a problem installing the RSA WebTier server. Unfortunately, I always get the same error .
As system I use a RHEL 7.6 (MAIPO) which runs on a VM at a ESXIE 6.7.0 Host.
Maybe you have a solution? A reinstalling, which I have already tried several times, unfortunately did not help.
This is the Error i get:
Thanks for your support!
//EDIT I also tried to create a new webtier package several times, still the same installation error.
Maybe your /tmp is mounted in read-only mode.
Try this before starting your Webtier installation:
mount -o remount,rw /tmp
Also think to have SElinux disabled.
To disable it 'live' : 'setenforce 0'
To disable it definitely (ie upon reboot) : vi /etc/selinux/config => 'SELINUX=disabled'
I tried to install the webtier with SELLINUX off, my /TMP folder was already mounted rw.
Unfortunately I still get the same error as in the main post.
Do you maybe have another idea ?
Thanks a lot !
1) Have you double-checked the rights on the "package.pkg" file ? (ie 644)
2) Does the install user have sufficient rights to open all sub-folders until the one where you webtier package is located ? (ie 755, all the way down)
I think you did not pass the package password prompt yet...
Looks like it's an access rights issue
1) Yes I did, the rights seems to be fine.
2) Yes the Installation User has all rights he needed.
I don't think it's a password problem, because the installer is accepting my password in the preparation. If I type in a wrong package password the installer notify me the password is wrong.
The Installations look fine in Step (1/2), the error occurs in Installation Step (2/2).
that was the solution! Thank you!
For whatever reason I didn't come up with it myself.
The installer was able to open it in the preparation.
Maybe because he copied all file to the installation folder and thought the package was copied too.
