When trying to run the ./rsautil command it returns back to the prompt without executing, as in the example below:
rsaadmin@primary81:/opt/rsa/am/utils> ./rsautil manage-secrets -a listall
This behavior happens when the /opt/rsa/am/utils/rsautil file is corrupt and shows a file size of 0 bytes. The size of the rsautil file should be 8569 bytes, as below:
rsaadmin@am81p:/opt/rsa/am/utils> ls -al rsautil
-rwxrwxrwx 1 rsaadmin rsaadmin 8569 Oct 6 14:50 rsautil
Additionally, the /opt/rsa/am/utils/lib/manage-secrets-8.x.x.x.x.jar file may be corrupt and show a file size of 0 bytes. The size of the manage-secrets-8.x.x.x.x.jar file should NOT be 0 bytes, as below:
rsaadmin@am81p:/opt/rsa/am/utils/lib> ls -al manage-secrets*
-rw-r--r-- 1 rsaadmin rsaadmin 12698 Jun 8 2015 manage-secrets-220.127.116.11.0.jar
Note that the service pack and patch number will change in the output based on the software installed in the deployment.
To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:
Copy the rsautil file from another working instance of RSA Authentication Manager 8.x, either primary or replica.
Place the file in /opt/rsa/am/utils.
Copy the manage-secrets-8.x.x.x.x.jar file from another working instance of Authentication Manager 8.x, either primary or replica.
Place the .jar file in /opt/rsa/am/utils/lib.
If the deployment contains only one primary server, contact RSA Customer Support for fresh copies of these files.
