A web page redirects a user to the web tier server, which is a component of Authentication Manager 8.1 that allows the web-based services to communicate with the Authentication Manager server within the customer's network. The web tier is also the component that performs the risk-based calculations comparing a user's login to typical behavior of that user, device profiling, etc. and creating an assurance level.
