RSA’s Craig Dore demonstrates how to provision software tokens via the client pull method, which requires the end user to visit the Self-Service Console to request a new or replacement token. The user can also visit the Self-Service Console to view outstanding token requests.
Administrators in the workflow can review token requests and either approve, deny or defer the request, which generates an email to the end user to guide the user in installing and using the software token application, a lik to download the software token record and the activation code.
On the device, the end user clicks on the email link for the token activation URL. Since the correct mime type is encoded the RSA SecurID Token app opens automatically.
