Add a new radius dictionary

Jump to solution

Hello all,

just a simple question. The last step in addind a new radius dictionary on authentication manager (8.3) is to restart the radius service. In a primary-replica what is the impact when restarting the service? There are particualr steps to follow? The new dictionary addiction has to be done only on primary and then is automatically replicated or has to be done both on primary and replica servers?

Thanks a lot

Has to be done on primary and all replicas, as those radius dictionaries are not replicated. Impact of restarting the service is ~10-15 seconds of that server inability to process incoming radius auths while it is restarting.

Hi Edwards,

thanks a lot for your answer.

So, the replica won't process authentication while service is restarting on primary one?

THanks a lot
