Authenication Manager 8.3 Patch 5 Issue

Jump to solution

The message about problems with 8.3. Patch 5 implied that the problem occurred if you tried to do an 8.3P5 to 8.4 upgrade using the web upload method.   Is this the only problem with 8.3P5?

I had previously downloaded it but hadn't gotten around to applying it.  I would like to apply it for the other fixes.  And, in any event, I don't plan to go to 8.4 by any method until the patching catches up.

That was the reason the patch was pulled.  No other known problems, so you could stay on AM 8.3 P5 if you avoid update to 8.4 through browser.

Your options are;

1. update to AM 8.4 from an NFS or Windows Share, not from your browser

2. roll-back your current AM 8.3 P5 to AM 8.3 P4 (or roll back to some earlier version then patch to AM 8.3 P4) and update to AM 8.4 through your browser

3. wait for AM 8.3 Patch 6, update to AM 8.3 Patch 6, then update to AM 8.4 through browser
