I spoke with our documentation team and the RSA SecurID Authentication Agent for PAM Technical Specifications page should also list the RSA SecurID Authentication Agent 8.1 for PAM, in addition to 8.0. That information will be updated today or tomorrow.
As you can see on the specs page, the agent is compatible with both
- AIX 7.1 TL3 (SP5) Power 6: 32-bit and 64-bit
- AIX 7.2 TL1 (SP2) Power 8: 32-bit and 64-bit

Thank you very much Erica, yes I had already seen the two compatible AIX in the manual. That's why I asked the question because in the list I had not seen my AIX servers. So I'll wait for the list to be updated then. Thank you!!!!

Only the versions listed in the RSA SecurID Authentication Agent for PAM Technical Specifications page are officially supported with the RSA Authentication Agent 8.1 for PAM.
What is often asked is "it is not supported but will it work?" The answer is, yes, the agent may work with those versions of AIX, but RSA cannot guarantee it. This issue becomes this: If you call in for support of the agent on an unsupported OS and we can see that the issue you are experiencing is because of an unsupported OS, we will request that you move to a supported version before continuing to troubleshoot the issue. We have to do this so our CE teams are not trying to resolve issues with operating systems we did not QA.

The two AIX operating systems listed on the RSA SecurID Authentication Agent for PAM Technical Specifications page are the only officially supported AIX operating systems for the RSA SecurID Authentication Agent 8.1 for PAM. These are AIX 7.1 TL3 (SP5) Power 6: 32-bit and 64-bit and AIX 7.2 TL1 (SP2) Power 8: 32-bit and 64-bit.
You can try to install the PAM agent on other versions and may have no issues, but if you run into problem and call for support, we may ask you to instll the agent on a supported OS.

Erica
