Deploy RSA Authentication Manager virtual appliance on KVM
Hi
I'm trying to deploy the RSA Authentication Manager on KVM (ovirt 4.3) I used the OVA file: rsa-am-vmware-virtual-appliance-8.4.0.0.0.ova.
I managed to install it but when I try to configure it, at the NTP configuration screen, if I try to preview the tome from the time source I get an error
I can continue past this but when Iget to "5. Summary" and click "Start Configuration" I get this error returned almost immediately and cannot proceed:
Quick Setup cannot complete the configuration process.
Click here to access the install_logs, and then call RSA Customer Support
Has anyone had any success deploying RSA Authentication Manager on KVM?
Thanks
Angus

This does not appear to be an RSA Identity Governance & Lifecycle post.
I think it is likely for RSA SecurID product.
I will attempt to move this to the correct group where it can be viability.

RSA Authentication manager deployment is 'not' yet supported with Nutanix. Ask from RSA would be to use a supported platform - for any help with deployment.
'Not Supported' does not mean it won't work, when customer's figure out a way and have the AM deployed successfully - but the risk is if you find a bug when running on Nutanix HyperVisor (AHV) (AHV based on KVM), and that bug cannot be reproduced on VMWare or Hyper-V, there will be no commitment from RSA Engineering to try to fix that bug.
RSA Authentication Manager currently supports deployment with an Amazon Web Services(AWS) virtual appliance, an Azure virtual appliance, a VMware virtual appliance, a Hyper-V virtual appliance, and a hardware appliance.

Hello,
Found this old thread searching for a solution to running RSA Authentication Manager on libvirt QEMU/KVM...
From page 14 of the rsa_authentication_manager_8.6_setup_config_guide.pdf guide it states:
"RSA Authentication Manager supports an Amazon Web Services (AWS) virtual appliance, an Azure virtual
appliance, a VMware virtual appliance, a Hyper-V virtual appliance, and a hardware appliance."
Since VMware is a supported hypervisor, the following config is functional as of the date of this post:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.8 KVM Server > RHEL8.8 Guest > VMware Workstation Player 16 > RSA Authentication Manager 8.7.1 ova
Although this does meet RSA Authentication Manager's ova requirements, it probably is not a supported configuration by RSA Security.

Official response from support:
Authentication Manager is deployed on either on physical hardware form factor or on virtual appliance with SUSE Linux as the operating system and RSA RADIUS server software. According to the RSA Authentication Manager 8.7 Setup and Configuration Guide, the following VMware platforms are supported:
- VMware ESXi 6.5 (VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6.5)
- VMware ESXi 6.7 (VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6.7)
- VMware ESXi 7.0 (VMware vSphere Hypervisor 7.0)
VMware Workstation Player is not supported.
