Does authentication manager 8.3 support more than 1 syslog destination

Jump to solution

8.2 sp1 currently only supports 1 syslog server. Has that changed in the latest release?

If you're willing to do a little syslog-ng editing you can can make AM 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 forward syslog entries to multiple destinations.  See 000030329 - How to configure RSA Authentication Manager 8.1 to send data to multiple remote syslog servers for an example.  AM8.4 switches to rsyslog, but the mechanism for configuring multiple destinations is very similar.

Ryan Cresswell‌,

I've moved your question to the RSA SecurID Access" data-type="space space where it will be seen by the product's support engineers, other customers and partners.  Please bookmark this page and use it when you have product-specific questions.

Alternatively, from the RSA Customer Support" data-type="space page, click on Ask A Question on the blue navigation bar and choose Ask A Product Related Question.  From there, scroll to RSA SecurID Access" data-type="space and click Ask A Question.  That way your question will appear in the correct space.

Regards,

Erica

I went ahead and did that. It worked. But how do you edit the passive unit. It doesn't let you modify the config? Will syslog work when failed over?
