How to configure SMTP using TLS for O365

Jump to solution

Hi, i'm trying to setup SMTP server in AM in order to use workflow for user token request but in the AM security console there is no protocol selection available. I need STARTTLS for O365 smtp server configuration.

Who knows how to do ?

Thank you in advance.

Anthony

Auth Manager cannot do STARTTLS at this time.

This is an open RFE:

AM-29401 AM should support TLS for relay of SMTP messages

250-STARTTLS

All AM servers since version 8.1 SP1 P3 support TLSv.1.2, and even versions before that supported TLSv.1.1 and TLSv1.0

https://community.rsa.com/community/products/securid/blog/2017/02/27/ssl-protocols-rc4-ciphers-and-authentication-manager

So when you configure an SMTP server in the AM Security Console - Setup - System, under Basic Settings, AM will try to use the latest TLS version after building its TCP connection on port 25.

Hi Jay,

Thank you for your quick reply but i need STARTTLS on port 587 for O365 SMTP server and not TLS.

Do you knoww if is it working on AM ?

RFE = Request for Enhancement, i.e. we do not currently support this (STARTTLS)

How about the status of AM-29401? 3 years gone... or RFE is a dream only?
