"For software tokens, token record data will eventually be transferred into a software token application."
what does highlighted part mean?

Hello Sumit,
That above line means that after importing the software token xml file. The token record data which consists the token information ( token seed and metadata such as the token serial number, expiration date, and the tokencode length and interval) will be transferred to the application (Mobile or desktop application) in the way of distributing the token through profile.
For importing the tokens, you need to get the XML file and it has different procedures as explained by the Edward and later you will have to manage those token for all the users.

Ujjawal
