Hello Sumit,

Here is an article which you can follow for importing the token records. Please check and let me know if you have any questions on this.

The Security Console help menu has information and step-by-step of nearly everything:

Typically you do [whatever procedure was sent, it might vary] to get the token xml file and password file extracted,

you import the xml and use the 'batch import password' from the matching password file. Some token xml do not need a password but most do...

thanks Ujjawal.

i came across this link.

"For software tokens, token record data will eventually be transferred into a software token application."

what does highlighted part mean?

because in RSA security console there is option for importing token job which accepts .xml file and no software application.

Please clarify.

Hello Sumit,

That above line means that after importing the software token xml file. The token record data which consists the token information ( token seed and metadata such as the token serial number, expiration date, and the tokencode length and interval) will be transferred to the application (Mobile or desktop application) in the way of distributing the token through profile.
For importing the tokens, you need to get the XML file and it has different procedures as explained by the Edward and later you will have to manage those token for all the users.
