Moving Users and Tokens from 7.1 to 8.2
Recently took ownership of an Appliance running 7.1. (Please note, I am aware that we cannot directly migrate from 7.1 to 8.2, so those replies can be held off on...)
What I am inquiring about - since I need nothing else from the 7.1 Appliance outside of the users and tokens, can we simply just do a dump of said users and tokens and import into 8.2?
I am in a time crunch and don't really feel like going through all the machinations of an unnecessary migration.
Thanks!

unfortunately there was no export Users and Tokens in AM 7.1, only backup to .dmp file, which only way into AM 8.0 or 8.1 is to migrate (as you pointed out no migrate in AM 8.2)
you'll have to stand up an AM 8.1 or 8.1 SP1 server and migrate the 7.1 database into it just to get those users and tokens/PINs

As Jay indicated, the minimum needed is:
-be on 7.1 sp4 patch(any)
-install 8.1 somewhere
-run the 7.1 - 8.1 migration tool and migrate that output to 8.1
-then export users and tokens from 8.1 and you can import those to 8.[any]

Thanks - I was aware of those steps already, but I was hoping beyond hope to avoid it to save time.

Thanks - this is what I figured would have to happen.
