PAM Agent OS Compatibility Chart

Below is a chart showing which RSA PAM agents can be used with which Linux operating systems.  It is far from perfect, and is only as complete as the documentation from which it was drawn.  Many of these agents are no longer supported.  It's possible that some agents can work on more OS versions than are listed here.  With all that in mind, this might be useful in getting an agent to work on a legacy system.  Note that 8.0 and newer support REST authentication as well as UDP.

And THIS is yet another reason why we should keep the old documentation in an easy-to-reach location.

Hats off to  Dave!

Thanks David!

Just one question here, if a version of the PAM agent is not support officially on one of the OS but technically it can work, does that means RSA support will not assist you in case any issues happened within this integration in the future?

The versions listed are the ones that have been tested and certified by Engineering.  As more OSs are tested and certified, the list will grow, but there are only so many hours in the day to do testing and certification.  So if your OS is not listed, you can try to install the agent, but Support can only offer help with the versions known to work.

Note that 8.1.4 is a version-specific release.  I updated the PAM chart to show 8.1.4 only works with Solaris 10 x86 Update 11 (32-bit) and Solaris 11 x86 (32- and 64-bit).
