Redirect CT-KIP activation URL for non activation requests

Jump to solution

When distributing tokens to users unfamiliar with SecurID they frequently try to open the activation URL in their browser, instead of the token software. This inevitably causes confusion and a needless call to our internal support. Is it possible to redirect these requests to another URL? Could an html file be configured for the 404 error?

Hello Derek,

I am guessing you mean users trying to import token on a Desktop/PC.

Unfortunately no, this would be an RFE you can open a ticket with support and we'd file it for you.

However, with a little educational email to users this can be avoided.

To also add, Our AM Prime suite offers a customization Self Service Portal, which when a user requests a token can have a custom email sent with screenshots, steps to do and such for directing users on how to do.

This is of curse an additional feature/addition, comes separate from the Authentication Manager server

Best Regards,

Peter
