Replica Authentication Manager server

Jump to solution

Stupid question, I know. But I swear I've been on The Google and always come up with an article that says I should have a backup replica, and I've made the replica package...

...but how do I actually make a replica instance??

Is it just another deployment from scratch, or is there a tool or something?

Thanks!

Steve

Just set up another RSA server same as you did the primary, but on quick setup web page, you say it will be a replica, not a primary, then it will want that replica package uploaded.

Ok, I got it. I'd have to either use my original OVA to deploy another one, patch it, then run the quick setup. I think I'm not seeing those options because our contract expired. We're renewing, but of course it would happen now! Though I'd sorta think we bought the license and the Application Manager I don't think has an expiration date, but when I try to download the VMWare OVA it says I can't because of the contract.

Funny enough, it let me download 8.3, so I upgraded the server. The licenses are all good...

Anyway, thanks for the info, that's exactly what I needed.
